Our NEW favorite white wine

Macon Chaintre.

It is superb. Lately the Picpoul du Pinet was less and less interesting and this Macon is stunningly better. It has become the white wine we look forward to!

Domaine Pascal Berthier, 2007 vintage.

Best bought at Arrow Wine (www.arrowine.com).

We recently had Kelly and Jason, and Djeneba and Mema as charming dinner guests, and it went very well with the salmon and hollandaise sauce.

Enjoy!

Happy New Year, my friend!

Tell me a bit more about this wine, Chris. Is it dry? Sweet? What could I compare it to? What is the cost per bottle?

In the world of white wines I have been loyal to Conundrum Table White. Yum. Roughly $20ish a bottle. A nice treat for all occasions.

Happy New Year to you all.

My pleasure to say more about this wine:
It is dry. Not aggressively so, with some agreeable grape and citrus. The two parts of this that I prize are
1: Complexity of flavor. There's a lot going on with the minerality and the yeastiness, as well as the crisp acidity.
2: Concentration and Length of flavor. This stays with you a while, which helps a lot with food.

This goes from $13-15.
I'll try the Conundrum :)
